Carly Kozak

It's official. I've become one of those moms who is obsessed with their baby. But how can I not be? Look at those chuncky cheeks! She seriously melts my heart. There is nothing I love more than snuggling up together and giggling. She is starting to become a real daddy's girl. I knew she'd fall for him sometime. Love you so much Harper girl, never grow up!
Can time slow down please?

I'm so excited its Fall. Have I said that enough? I love snuggling up in sweaters with my honey and drinking hot chocolate. I love the cold breeze and cloudy walks. The changing trees and cute baby sweaters really get me. There is something so special about this season and its hard to put it into words. All the food, smells, and vibes are so much better. Taylor and I will be heading to the pumpkin patch soon to buy all the pumpkins! Is it just me or are holidays way more fun when you have kids? Having little adventures with Harper is becoming one of my new favorite things to do. Hopefully Taylor and I will be able to get out soon and enjoy some time together, but for now I am just going to snuggle up with my Harper girl and watch Harry Potter. Whats better than that?
P.S. Madi and Harper really kill me in that first picture. #snuggle buddies

Fall is my absolute favorite season. Probably because 90% of my wardrobe is sweaters and Fall is the perfect sweater weather. To celebrate I have created a list of some Fall date ideas. Each of these is sure to put a smile on your face. If you try any of these leave me a comment letting me know how it went. Share pictures, videos, etc. Enjoy!

1. Snuggle up and watch a movie
2. Go camping inside. Set up a tent in your living room, use a flash light to get around, and roast marshmallows on the stove.
3. Drive somewhere totally random. Every time you approach a street have your partner decide left, right, or straight! You always end up in the coolest places.
4. Watch the sunset together. Grab your blankets and enjoy the view.
5. Go to a drive-in
6. Visit a museum or art gallery or both
7. Cheer at your local high school football game. Pretend that its your first date. It makes it way more fun.
8. Jump in some Fall leaves together
9. Carve pumpkins. Then bake the seeds!
10. Share some hot chocolate or apple cider and walk the town
11. Have a fall photoshoot. Take your camera, explore, and snap tons of pictures together.
12. Make caramel apples
13. Build a massive fort. The more blankets, the better.
14. Go to Home Depot and plan your dream house together. Pick out tiles, fans, paint colors, kitchen designs, and soo much more.
15. Star gaze and cuddle up to a fire
16. Attend a festival. There are always a ton of activities put on by communities around Fall.
17. Head over to your local pumpkin patch. Buy all the pumpkins.
18. Plan a road trip somewhere with a lot of trees. The changing colors are always breath taking.
19. Write lists of things you are thankful for about each other. Then share them over some take out.
20. Pick out your favorite Fall candles. Go to the store and smell them all!!
21. Practice your face painting skills on each other.
22. Browse your local farmers market for some Autumn veggies
23. Plan a Halloween party and invite your friends
24. Take a walk in the rain without an umbrella. Wear your hoodies and share some kisses.
25. Go thrift shopping and buy each other really ugly comfy sweaters.

I hope these sparked your adventurous spirit. Now get out and enjoy being in love this Fall. Remember to let me know how your experience went.

I can't believe my little baby is 3 months old. I feel like she has been a part of our lives forever. Not going to lie, being a mom is hard. I've never had to give up so much in my life. Everything revolves around this little girl now. I can't make any decision without thinking of her first. Being parents has rocked mine and Taylor's world. But is the best experience we have ever had together. Harper is getting so chunky. I love it. Her personality comes out more and more every day. I can tell she is going to be a little trouble maker. She already has tons of energy. I love waking up to her squirming around in her bassinet talking away. There is no doubt in my mind that she is going to be one active child. We are going to have our hands full for sure. All jokes aside, Taylor and I are so lucky. Harper is such a happy and easy baby. I love doing these little photo shoots together. She actually is totally intrigued by the camera. Maybe she will make videos with mama one day ;)

I've been struggling a lot lately with displaying myself on social media. Mostly because I face an internal battle between posting what I want and what I think over people will like. When I first started using social media I always just posted what I wanted to. I didn't care what people thought. If they didn't like it they could unfollow me. Somewhere along the way I stopped being authentic and started to try to be "perfect." It was exhausting and of course I could never live up to it. I was so concerned about getting likes and gaining followers that I lost who I was. I felt so fake and honestly pathetic. I didn't want people to follow me because they thought I was perfect. I wanted them to follow me because they were interested in who I really was and what I had to say. After taking a short break from social media I have decided to just be me. To be REAL. And whoever likes it, likes it and who ever doesn't, doesn't. I couldn't care less. I want my social media platforms to be places of light and glimpses into my incredibly blessed life. I think that if you master who you really are, then people will flock to you naturally. So get ready for more blog posts of my honest opinion and things that I really care about. Cheers to a new journey of being me and being REAL.

Baby Harper is two months old! I can't believe I have been a mom for two months. It honestly feels longer haha. It is so crazy looking back on pictures of Harper when she was first born. She was SO tiny. I remember being terrified to put her in her car seat because I thought I was going to hurt her. Driving home for the first time was honestly traumatic. Now we travel with her all the time. Its crazy how you get used to being a mom and getting in your own groove. At first it all seemed so overwhelming, now its just second nature. Harper is getting so chunky and fun to be around. This is definitely my favorite age so far (I'm sure I'll be saying that for the rest of her life). I love her little smiles and giggles. Seriously what could make a mom's heart more happy than this? She is my best friend. Taylor and I are lucky to have her. She brings so much joy into our lives.
We love you Harper girl.

Since Taylor works full-time right now, it is hard to get a ton of family time in. I miss just hanging out with him and be able to go on adventures. This poor guy is tired all the time from working so much. But he made me so happy when he said that we could go to the county fair. We got there at 10am and didn't realize that nothing really starts until like 12. No worries though, we still had a blast. We looked at all the livestock, ate corndogs, and went through a bunch of displays. Harper pretty much slept through the whole thing. I was glad though, because before we got there we had a power struggle over putting on sunscreen. She won.

Last week we got to take Harper to the park for the first time. It wasn't too sunny out so it was the perfect chance to take her for a stroll. She absolutely loved the grass and fresh air. Taylor even took her on the swings. This girl has so much energy and it was pretty cool to see her have a blast. Pretty soon she will be going on the swing all by herself and asking me to push her. I love this girl so much and cherish these special family moments together.

Harper's blessing day was so special. We got to have Taylor's family up with us and Harper was able to be blessed in the dress that Taylor's sister was. I loved getting to see Taylor up there with our little girl. I can't wait for her to grow up in this church and know that she is loved by so many people. I am so grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be a mother. It is seriously my favorite thing in the whole world.
