Are these not the cutest little feet and socks you've ever seen ^^

So we went back to Jackson haha. I swear it feels like this is our second home. Every time we vacation out here we stay in the same complex of cozy condos. I think we will have to just buy one of them eventually. This trip was just what the doctor ordered. Limited cell service, lots of laughing, pictures in the mountains, shopping, yummy food, chasing Harper around..it was the best. Taylor got to ref a high school game in Jackson that Friday and it brought back all the feels. I felt like I was right back in high school, except I was chasing a toddler around the whole time. We accidently sat in the student section and all of a sudden I felt soooo old. These kids looked like babies. Did I ever look that young? Being at that game made me miss my home town. I long for the days where I'll be watching my own kids play and really feel a part of that community. The condo we stayed in was so cozy. It had the best blankets and candles. Everything about it was just warm and homey. They also had such a cute little kid room with tons of toys, including a small kitchen. I think I know what we are getting Harper for Christmas this year ;) She was obsessed with that thing.

The rest of the trip was mellow. We shopped and ate. We watched conference. We even explored some of the forest. It was fun to get out in nature and just enjoy the fresh air. I'm grateful that Taylor and I get to go on these fun trips with our best friends, Nicole and Kevin. Nicole's mom just lost her best friend of 23 years. It made me heart broken to think of ever losing Nicole. Memories like these are some that I will cherish forever. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by the best of friends! I love them so much! Seriously find your tribe and never let go of them. Also huge shout out to them for watching Harper for us tonight so we could go on a date. Y'all are the bee's knees.

Since the first time I came to Salt Lake, I have wanted to tour the Utah Capital Building. It is so massive and beautiful, I was dying to know what the inside was like. It was really special getting to tour this place with my dad. He is one of the most dedicated people I know. He puts his heart and soul into his job as a sherif deputy. His life as been put on the line multiple times and by the grace of God, he has come home to us each night. It was emotional touring this police officer memorial with him. We know how lucky we are to have him in our lives.

Taylor and I decided to take a last minute trip to the county fair a few weeks ago. Last year we went early in the morning when Harper was a few months old. I was tired, no one was there, and it was just pretty lame. This year was so much fun. The place was packed. Harper was running around, trying to pet the farm animals, and giving us endless hugs. She is such a sweet girl. Also, we had some of the best bbq I've ever had. Holy cow. It was such a perfect summer night: warm air, stormy clouds, and light drizzles. By the time we left it was pouring rain. It was a perfect night. I was one of those moments where I knew I was exactly where I was suppose to be. I love this little family of mine and getting to witness just how amazing being a parent and spouse is. I am so blessed.

I absolutely love birthdays. I love getting to celebrate some one I love. I want to appreciate that they are alive and a part of my life. I normally go all out with balloons, cakes, presents, cards, etc. I celebrate "birthday week". All week I try and make them feel special. Taylor naturally had to adopt my insane obsession with birthdays. He was so sweet to me this year. We woke up and got doughnuts, went to the local gardens, took lots of pictures, and then went on a date to the Olive Garden. Could you really ask for more? Twenty three feels like its going to be a good year. Mostly because the whole time I was twenty two, I thought I was twenty three hahaha. I always feel older than I am. Since I love birthdays so much, I actually love aging. I feel like I have developed more and more self-love as the years have passed. Adulting is so stressful, but its been an amazing adventure to get to decide who I want to be. I love my little life with Harper and Taylor. They make me feel so special and so loved. I don't know what I would do without their precious hugs and kisses.

^ sparklers are definitely going to be a tradition from now on ^

^ like how is he this handsome ^

^ blurry but one of my favs ^

Our fourth of July started out pretty slow. We decided to just skip out on the crowds this year. I wasn't feeling very well and Taylor and I had a ton of homework. Finals week is next week... So we laid low in the morning, read books, did a little grocery shopping, snuggled. Then at noon Taylor and I decided to go out for some lunch. Harper was not a huge fan of that idea. After the complete and total madness we agreed to never take Harper to a nice restaurant again. It was a total nightmare. I think we will save the nice places for date night from now on. After a very successful bath and nap time, we went outside for some fireworks. We originally planned to drive to the giant firework show. Since Harper and me and Taylor were all a little grumpy we decided to stay home and see what was going down in our neighbor hood. Our neighbor gave us a sparkler that Harper LOVED. Then we walked around, popped poppers, and watched street fireworks. Harper loved every single second of it. Our day ended so well. I am so grateful for these two perfect humans in my life. Taylor has become the best dad in the world. I don't know what I would do with out them. Tooooo blessed. And thank you to the men and women who knew the value in having a voice and fought to makes this country what it is today! P.S. thanks for the cute flag romper grandma penny, Harper was so cute and comfy!
