When Taylor and I first got married we had a tiny struggle over what our Christmas decorations would be like. So silly right? I grew up with classic white lights, simple home decor, and gold accents. He grew up with colorful lights and playful decorations. Obviously we each had to give in to the other's traditions. So we have both kinds of lights up in our house. I had already put up my portion of the decorations, of course. Tonight, Taylor chose where he wanted his colorful lights and what he wanted to put on the Christmas tree. He decided the lights would go outside and candy canes would be hung on the tree. I love our combination of traditions. It;s more exciting this way. There was something special about tonight. Getting Harper all snuggled in her wrap and hanging up lights together. For the first time since Harper was born, I felt like a family of three. This is OUR home. We is now three. This girl has changed my life. I love her more than anything. All traditions aside, I want to teach her about the most important part of Christmas. Christ. I hope you all enjoy your Christmas season. I hope it's full of love, laughs, hugs, hand holding, sweet kisses, snuggles by the tree, warm jammies, meeting new people, opening doors for strangers, less road rage, nicer Facebook posts and lots of colorful lights. I hope you each let your own light shine this month.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
