Carly Kozak

My wedding day was the most amazing day of my life.
Our reception was under a blanket of oak trees strung in white lights.
It was full of burlap, mason jars, flowers, candles, pictures, vintage street lamps,
lanterns, lace, and precious memories.
My Aunt and cousin (who are wedding fairies) were kind enough to come down
from Arizona and decorate my entire reception.
Sure it took DAYS of preparation to make my dream wedding a reality,
But it was beyond worth it.

Unfortunately there isn't a ton of pictures of all the decor,
And the pictures do not nearly do it justice.
But here it is!
Keep an eye out for our cake.
It was the most delicious and beautiful thing to ever touch my taste buds.

About a month ago, my MIL convinced us that it would be fun to go to a Montana wedding. Boy was she right. The wedding was held at a cute old school building in the middle of the country. It made me wish I grew up in a town that had something other than buildings. I was completely mesmerized by all the cows and I found myself playing with them for about 30 minutes. There was burlap, hay, cupcakes, and rain. It was absolutely perfect.

Thank you Montana! && Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Hill!

Before I was married I guess I was "Single?" My last night as a single lady, my girlfriends took me out for a night I'll never forget. First, we ate dinner over the most gorgeous view at Duke's Malibu. It was full of laughs, Strawberry Mojito Mocktails, and all the lingerie in the world! Then my MOH surprised us with a little game. We had to hand out stickers (Best eyes, nicest smile, strongest pecks, worst dancer, etc.) to random guys we saw on the boardwalk. We strutted our stuff and almost broke our necks multiple times. Finally we finished off with what every soon to be bride needs: a milk shake.  I absolutely love these dolls and want to thank them for the best girls night ever.

Thanks ladies

xoxo, Carly

About me

Hi, I'm Carly Kozak.
Welcome to my tiny corner of the internet. Burning candles, chocolate ice cream, fresh flowers, cozy blankets, open windows, sunday drives, and homemade lemonade make me a happy girl.
I'm a mama to two beautiful girls. And I hope this blog can be a place where you feel welcome and warm. You can expect to see lots of yummy recipes, home design, gardening tips, and some motherhood mistakes sprinkled along the way.
I hope we can enjoy this journey together
